Web app and MVP development
Custom web applications and first versions for founders who have outgrown a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group and a prayer.
Posteroids builds custom web applications and MVPs for $3,000 to $12,000, typically delivered in four to eight weeks. That covers authentication, user dashboards, a real database, admin tooling, payments where they are needed, and deployment to your own domain. The studio is based in Lahore, Pakistan and works with founders in Pakistan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Every engagement starts with a free demo — one real, working page of your product, on a live link, before any invoice exists.
What counts as a web app
A website tells people things. A web app lets them do things — log in, save work, be charged, come back tomorrow and find their data where they left it. The line is usually crossed the first time you need accounts.
The founders who arrive here are rarely asking for "a web app" in those words. They are asking why four people are maintaining the same spreadsheet, why onboarding a customer takes an email thread, or why the thing they sell only exists inside their own head and a folder of PDFs.
What is included
Accounts and auth
Sign-up, log-in, password reset, sessions, roles. Social log-in where it saves a step. Done with a real provider, not hand-rolled.
A database that fits
A data model designed around what you actually store, with migrations, so the schema can change in month four without a rebuild.
Dashboards and admin
The screens your users need, plus the back-office screens you need — so you are not editing rows by hand to fix a customer’s problem.
Payments
Stripe, Paddle or a local rail like a bank transfer or JazzCash flow, depending on where your customers are and what they will actually complete.
Deployment and domain
Shipped to a global edge network on your own domain, with a staging URL you can watch it happen on. Analytics wired before launch.
The handover
You own the code, the repository, the accounts and the domain. Nothing is held hostage. We are not the only people who can touch it.
What a web app costs
| Scope | USD | PKR (approx.) | GBP (approx.) | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small internal tool One user type, a handful of screens, no payments | $3,000 – $5,000 | PKR 840,000 – PKR 1.4m | £2,300 – £3,900 | 4–5 wks |
| Customer-facing MVP Accounts, core feature, admin, basic billing | $5,000 – $8,000 | PKR 1.4m – PKR 2.2m | £3,900 – £6,200 | 5–7 wks |
| Full product v1 Multiple roles, payments, integrations, reporting | $8,000 – $12,000 | PKR 2.2m – PKR 3.4m | £6,200 – £9,400 | 7–8 wks |
| Ongoing changes afterwards | $150/mo | PKR 40,000/mo | £120/mo | Monthly |
Scope decides the number, and scope is a ten-minute conversation. You get an exact figure the same day you ask — not after a discovery workshop you paid for.
A web app we actually shipped
Coaching With Shuja was a tuition business run out of a teacher’s head and a folder of past papers. It is now a study product: students log in, practise topic-wise O-Level and Digital SAT MCQs drawn from real past papers, sit timed exam simulations, and watch their own progress. The question bank is administered by the teacher, not by us.

How the build runs
-
01
Brief
You describe what you are building. Fifteen minutes, no deck required.
-
02
Free demo
We build one real page of your actual site and send you the link. Not a mockup, not a Figma file — a working page you can open on your phone. You keep it whether or not you continue.
-
03
Build
Design and build happen in the open on a live URL. You see progress daily and change your mind while changing it is still cheap.
-
04
Launch
Fast, indexed, responsive, on your own domain. Analytics wired, forms tested, nothing left dangling.
-
05
Aftercare
Edits, fixes and new sections on request. We do not disappear after the invoice clears.
Before any invoice exists we build one real page of your actual site and send you the link. Not a mockup, not a Figma file, not a slide — a working page you can open on your phone and forward to a co-founder. If you do not like it, you walk away and keep the link. That is the whole risk.
Questions founders ask
- How much does it cost to build a web app?
- With Posteroids, $3,000 to $12,000 depending on scope — roughly $3,000–$5,000 for a small internal tool, $5,000–$8,000 for a customer-facing MVP with accounts and billing, and $8,000–$12,000 for a full v1 with multiple user roles and integrations. Ongoing changes afterwards are $150 a month.
- How long does it take to build an MVP?
- Four to eight weeks. A small internal tool lands in four to five weeks; a full first version with payments and multiple roles takes seven to eight. You see it on a live URL the whole way through rather than at the end.
- Do I own the code?
- Yes. You own the repository, the code, the hosting accounts and the domain. Everything is handed over at launch and nothing is locked to Posteroids — another developer can pick it up without permission or a migration project.
- What technology do you build with?
- The stack is chosen per project rather than sold as a package, but in practice it is modern JavaScript and TypeScript on the front end, a managed Postgres database, a hosted auth provider, and deployment to a global edge network. Boring, well-documented choices your next developer will recognise.
- Can you take over a half-finished app someone else started?
- Often, yes. It depends on what state the code is in — the honest answer comes after a look at the repository, which costs nothing. Sometimes the right advice is to keep the database and rebuild the front end; occasionally it is to start again. You get told which, plainly.
- Do I need to know exactly what I want before we start?
- No. Most founders arrive with a problem rather than a specification. The brief conversation is fifteen minutes and its purpose is to find the smallest version that is genuinely useful — then that gets built first, on a live URL, so you can react to something real instead of imagining it.
- What happens after launch?
- Care and feeding is $150 a month for edits, new sections, fixes and uptime. It is optional and there is no lock-in. If you would rather hand it to an in-house developer, everything is documented and handed over.
