E-commerce website development
Online stores for product people who want the cart to actually work — and, where the market calls for it, a one-tap WhatsApp order instead of a cart.
Posteroids builds e-commerce websites and online storefronts for $1,500 to $4,000, delivered in two to four weeks. That covers the product catalogue, cart and checkout, payment integration, order notifications, and analytics — or, for markets where buyers do not complete card checkouts, a one-tap WhatsApp ordering flow instead. Based in Lahore, Pakistan, working with sellers in Pakistan, the UK and the US.
Cart or WhatsApp — the decision that matters most
This is the question most agencies skip and most stores lose money on. A full card checkout is the right answer in the UK and US, where buyers expect one and abandon anything else. In Pakistan and much of the Gulf, a large share of buyers will fill a cart and then message you anyway — so the honest design is to put the message button where the cart button would have been, and lose nothing.
| If your buyers are… | Build this | Why |
|---|---|---|
| UK / US / EU consumers | Full card checkout | Card payment is the default expectation. Anything else reads as a scam signal and kills the sale. |
| Pakistani consumers | Checkout and WhatsApp, side by side | Cash on delivery and WhatsApp confirmation still convert better for most categories. Offering both costs nothing. |
| Wholesale / bulk buyers | Catalogue + quote request | Prices vary by volume, so a fixed cart is wrong. The job is to get a qualified enquiry with the product and quantity attached. |
What is included
- Product catalogue — categories, variants, search and filtering that works on a phone.
- Checkout — card payment via Stripe or a local gateway, or a WhatsApp order that arrives with the product, quantity and customer details already filled in.
- Order handling — confirmation emails, order notifications to you, and a place to see what has been ordered.
- Product photography guidance — not a photo shoot, but a straight answer about which of your existing images are hurting you and what to reshoot.
- Analytics — so you can see which products get looked at and which get abandoned, wired before launch rather than six months later.
- Speed — a store that loads slowly on a mid-range Android phone on a 4G connection is a store that does not sell. That is the device the build is tested against.

How the build runs
-
01
Brief
You describe what you are building. Fifteen minutes, no deck required.
-
02
Free demo
We build one real page of your actual site and send you the link. Not a mockup, not a Figma file — a working page you can open on your phone. You keep it whether or not you continue.
-
03
Build
Design and build happen in the open on a live URL. You see progress daily and change your mind while changing it is still cheap.
-
04
Launch
Fast, indexed, responsive, on your own domain. Analytics wired, forms tested, nothing left dangling.
-
05
Aftercare
Edits, fixes and new sections on request. We do not disappear after the invoice clears.
Before any invoice exists we build one real page of your actual site and send you the link. Not a mockup, not a Figma file, not a slide — a working page you can open on your phone and forward to a co-founder. If you do not like it, you walk away and keep the link. That is the whole risk.
Questions sellers ask
- How much does an e-commerce website cost?
- With Posteroids, $1,500 to $4,000. A small catalogue of up to about thirty products with one payment method is $1,500–$2,200; a full storefront with variants, filtering and multiple payment methods is $2,200–$3,200; adding accounts, subscriptions or multi-currency takes it to $3,200–$4,000.
- Should I use Shopify instead?
- Sometimes, and you will be told so. Shopify is the right answer if you want to run everything yourself, your catalogue is straightforward, and the monthly fee plus transaction cut is cheaper than a build for your volume. A custom store wins when you need a checkout Shopify does not do — WhatsApp ordering, quote-based wholesale pricing, or a local payment rail — or when the theme tax on making it not look like every other Shopify store exceeds the build cost.
- Can you accept payments in Pakistan?
- Yes. Depending on your registration status the options are a local gateway, bank transfer with confirmation, cash on delivery, or a WhatsApp-confirmed order. Which combination is right depends on what you sell and to whom — that is part of the brief conversation, not an upsell.
- Do you add the products for me?
- The build includes loading your initial catalogue and setting up the structure so you can add the rest without calling anyone. If you have hundreds of products in a spreadsheet, importing them is part of the job.
- What if I already have a store that is not selling?
- That is usually a redesign and rescue rather than a rebuild — $500 to $2,000, one to two weeks, focused on the three things actually losing you orders. Speed, mobile checkout, and whether a stranger can tell what you sell in three seconds.
- How long until it is live?
- Two to four weeks depending on scope. You get the free demo page — a real page of your actual store — within the first few days, before anything is paid.
